In excellent mint crisp condition, we have an all matching 1943 production bcd43 code German K98k Service Rifle. This top condition example was manufactured at the Gustloff Werke Factory in Wiemar, which was one of the major contractors of the Mauser rifle during the war and is a commonly encountered production code. This rifle has a mint bore and is completely matching. The cartouche on the bottom of the butt is very clear and readable as well and the stock has not been sanded. This is a top quality example of a typical mid war production 98k rifle and would be a great addition to any serious collection. The sling is in decent condition. Finding nice 98k’s that are matching and in this very nice condition is not easy; most that were brought back were mismatched or turned into deer rifles and many decades passed before people appreciated these rifles. Today they are very scarce in this original minty condition. Indeed,we find at least 5 nice mint all matching Lugers to every nice Mauser rifle that we are lucky enough to find.
