In excellent minus matching condition (except for the action screws), with an excellent bore, we have a great example of the German WW1 Gewehr 98 Service rifle. This example is 1916 dated and was made by Mauser Oberndorf and not by one of the subcontractors or military arsenals. Its always nice to get one made by the original manufacturer. The rifle is all matching except the screws which we do not see very often. This is a nice example that is one of the first rifles to be stocked in Beechwood. If you are looking for a really nice example of the famous German WW1 Mauser rifle for your collection this is a great choice. Finding nice Gew 98 rifles is not easy and they just never show up this nice and matching. This is the perfect rifle to have in your hands next time you watch “All Quiet on the Western Front” It will make you feel like you are in the trenches!
