In 96+% very sharp condition, we have a scarce and nearly impossible to locate early February, 1943 production Remington Rand 1911a1 Pistol. This is from the middle of the 4th month of production and is one of the first few thousand produced by Remington Rand. It has many of the early production features, the most desirable is of course, the first type of the Remington Rand slide logo with “New York” spelled out. Also notable is the very early Du-Lite sand blasted blue finish. These very early first slide logo pistols are extremely scarce and highly sought after, they are 10 times rarer than a Union Switch, I don’t think we had 5 in in the past 30 years. I personally think that they are the most undervalued WW2 era 1911a1 but they are certainly are getting a lot of attention in this red hot market. This is a pistol that I highly recommend that you pick up as an investment and a collectible.
