In 97% very sharp condition, we have an early 1930’s production Mauser Model 1914 Pistol. This is marked S.P. Zw. which translates to City Police City of Zweilinden in East Prussia. Today this town is in Poland. This is a really nice example because it was purchased new for this purpose. Most of the Mauser 1914’s in police service at this time were 1920 dated warhorses left over from WW1 and sold off from the army. Times were hard, money was short not a lot of new Police equipment was being bought. This is a very rare and seldom seen Police unit marking so if you collect these Wiemar/Nazi era German Police marked Pistols this is one of the more obscure and interesting markings to locate.
