In 96% excellent condition and 100% factory original we have a nice Vet brought back July, 1943 Production Colt M1911A1 U.S. Army Service Pistol. This Pistol was shipped to Springfield Armory On July 29, 1943. This is the Small GHD variant, and the slide is numbered to match the pistol and it is a completely orthodox textbook example of Colts mid 1943 production. We were told the pistol was carried by a B24 Pilot in the China-Burma-India theater of operation. The pistol is still with the circa 1944 production Enger Kress M3 shoulder Holster. The bore is decent but not mint, this is a pistol that saw wartime service and while it is quite nice it has been there and done it. This is a fantastic Army Air Force issued Colt and it will be very appealing to many folks. This is the perfect example of a WW2 issued .45 Colt, the iconic American handgun of WW2.
