NEWS from the Office…
We are having a HUGE END OF SUMMER SALE! We will probably keep this stuff at deep discount through the end of August. We have a couple of substantial collections coming in soon and we wanted to move out some of the stuff that has been overlooked before new stuff gets piled on top of it and it gets buried. I was thinking about calling this the”I can’t believe you haven’t bought this yet!!! Sale“, but I thought that was being a bit over dramatic. As they say in the car business, there is a car seat for every ass, so I am sure that these fine historical treasures will get snapped up quickly as is already occurring. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THESE GREAT DEALS, AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS JUST CALL SCOTTY AT 703 628 5862.
As I write this they are having the Nations Gun Show in Chantilly. God bless them for trying but we opted out. Early reports have it as a bit of a cluster f*ck (understandably) , with reduced size and sparser than usual crowds. Due to the reduced crowd size mandates some people are waiting over an hour to get into the show as they can only let so many in there at a time. The draw seems to be for modern guns and especially ammunition. Many of these small dealers only attend gun shows so I imagine that people see it as a possible last untapped resource of ammo and AR’s for these troubled times.
Many of our clients have asked us about collectible pistols that could serve in a pinch for self defense. While we certainly don’t recommend using these as carry pieces today there are a few that would stand out if you needed to call upon them. These three came top mind:
- High Power Pistols due to the 13 round magazine and fairly modern design. They only really became obsolete around the turn of the century.
- P.38 Pistols due to the modernity of the design and good supply of mags and parts. They stayed in front line service till the 1980’s.
- Makarov pistols due to the ergonomic design and the fact that ammunition is still plentiful, fairly cheap and available especially at SG Ammo.
Please make an appointment if you are stopping by the office. All our inventory is vaulted up and we just do not have the time these days for dog and pony shows as we have reduced staff in the office. We are more than happy to pull something for you to look at if you have an interest we just need to know in advance and don’t mind a visit.
PLEASE STAY SAFE AND SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AND WEAR A FREAKING MASK!!!
