In 98% mint nearly new condition, we have a top example of the Swiss Model 1882 Ordnance Revolver in 7.5 Swiss caliber fully rigged out with the holster and shoulder strap plus ammo. This example was manufactured around 1914 and is of course all matching and mint to include the bore. This is not import marked and is not a recent import. This piece is a marvel to behold, its made like a Rolex and beautifully finished. I could play with it for hours. These revolvers will shoot the Swedish 7.5 revolver ammunition as well.
Because the Swiss are just so CHEAP, these revolvers stayed in service in some fashion right into the 1970’s. Interestingly the Swiss military ammunition for this pistol was always loaded with black powder right up until the end. The Swedish 7.5 revolver ammo is modern smokeless powder so it’s best to use that if you wish to shoot it. Apparently the Swiss thought that you could shoot this at someone and then vanish behind the smoke screen that the back powder produced.
