The pistol is all matching with a mint bore and comes with a WaA140 proofed mag, which is a real plus as most pistols of this period would have had an un-marked magazine. By 1943 wartime pressures were being experienced at the FN Plant in Liege; issues with raw materials and rising production goals meant the the pistols were more hastily assembled and the cosmetic polishing was curtailed. This caused a much less refined appearance the but functionality was not impacted.
This pistol comes with some documentations, a brief note explaining that is was brought back in 1945 and how it was passed down over the years, Certainly it was a treasured war trophy and heirloom. Certainly enough information has been provided to commence further research. Getting a High Power rig in this top notch condition is not an easy thing; those wide grip straps see a lot of finish loss on most examples and the markings are usually very lightly roll marked on. This specimen really pops with great gripstraps and very crisp markings, it is very visually appealing and just about as nice of an example that one could expect to locate. The holster has a rarely seen reddish cast to it and that just makes this whole rig a cut above the best.
