In MINT CRISP PROBABLY UN-ISSUED all matching condition with an excellent bore, we have a 1943 dated Carl Gustafs made AG42 Semi Auto Service Rifle. These rifles were used in limited numbers beginning in 1942 and stayed in service as late as the early 1960’s. Production was low with only around 30,000 being produced. They were never intended to replace the Swedish Mauser Rifles in service, only to augment firepower. Starting in the 1980’s these rifles were imported into the US and hit the surplus market. For the past several years they have seen a huge amount of collector interest and are highly sought after as an example of the early post WW2 semi-auto rifles that were in service. These riffles are all import marked as they were brought in at a time that import stamping was required
