In 97% very crisp condition, we have a 1938 production FN Model 1910 pistol in .32 auto. This is rigged out in what I am fairly certain is a holster of Chinese Nationalist origin, likely this was purchased by an officer of the KMT Army and probably in Shanghai as FN did have an authorized sales agent in that city. The holster is definitely of Chinese Origin based upon the fabric inside lining and the shape of the attachments on the back. The pistol is matching and the bore is mint as well.
In the late 1930’s FN Model 1910 pistols were a big seller in Asia, largely to the Chinese Government and also to dealers in Japan for officer purchase. We get these pistols in regularly with a Japanese context but this example with a Chinese origin is much scarcer. To definitively settle this and add allure all one needs to do is to get an FN Letter from Anthony Vanderlinden.
