In excellent all matching condition, we have a very scarce 1938 dated 237 code (Berlin Lubecker Maschinenfabrik) made K98k Mauser Service Rifle. The rifle is all matching with an excellent bore. There is a period regulation dovetail repair to the buttstock and the bayonet lug is a number overstamp likely replaced at the time of the stock repair, other than that, its all matching down to the screws. The cartouches on the walnut stock are very clear and crisp. The date/code combination of this rifle is a very difficult one to locate, the code for BLM changed to duv in late 1940, and any serious collector of 98k’s knows what a real find this rifle is. This is very much an example of one of those rare sought after codes that is irresistible to own in this absolute top condition.
