WED JAN 8, RARE! ALL MATCHING! FRENCH 1891 BERTHIER MOUSQUETON Mle 1890 CARBINE, VERY SHARP, PRE 98 ANTIQUE! IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!

Here in absolutely impossible to find all matching condition, we are pleased to present an Antique 1891 dated St. Etienne Arsenal made Berthier Mle 1890 Mousqueton, commonly referred to as the Artillery Carbine.     The stock is very clean with a cartouche date of April, 1891 quite clear and readable. This is still in completely un-modified or rebuilt condition, still in the original Balle “D” 8mm Lebel caliber, not upgraded to Balle “N“.  Surprisingly, the bore is in excellent condition as well.

This was the standard French Cavalry, mounted Security and Artillery arm of the French Army at the outbreak of the First World War and few survived that have not been reworked 23 times.
