In 95% condition, we have a somewhat uncommon 14.5 date (May,1939), Nagoya Nambu Factory Made Type 14 Nambu Service Pistol. This is all matching except for the magazine and it comes with the correct tan leather Clamshell holster still with the hard to find shoulder strap. This is a nice vet bring back setup that just came out of the woodwork.
The Type 14 Pistol in an 8mm bottleneck cartridge was the standard Army combat sidearm of the WWII era. WWII started in Asia back in 1936 three years before it started in Europe. Pistols such as this were needed for combat in China as well as against the Americans later at the end of 1941. This is a good representative example of the iconic Japanese pistol that was a much sought after war trophy.
