Description

In 96% exceptionally nice condition, especially for this make of pistol, we have a very rarely seen early 1915 production Very Rare First Variation 7.65mm (.32 auto) FL Selbstlader Pistol, commonly referred to by collectors as the Langenhan Pistol, still with it’s  1917 dated holster too!  You will observe the imperial army acceptance proof on the left side of the pistol.

This example is one of the very rare early 1st Variation pistols which had the breechblock and extractor exposed on the left side of the pistol and the long safety leaver. Only around 8,000 of this early version was manufactured and they are among the harder to find German WWI Pistols of the era.  These pistols were made exclusively for the German army from 1915-1918 only, and were not made after the war.  One of the rarer and more difficult to locate German WWI era pistols.  If you are collecting WWI era small arms this is a seldom seen and exceptionally fine example.
