Description

In 96% very sharp condition, we have a top example of a 1942 Nazi production ViZ35 Radom Pistol.  This is from the T block and is one of the early non slotted variation.   Of course, this is all matching and the bore is excellent.  This pistol would have been produced in late 1942 as a parts kit at the Former Polish State Arsenal at Radom under very draconian semi slave labor. The parts kits. which were waffenamted Eagle/77 were then shipped to the Steyr Factories in Austria where the Barrels were made and the pistols were assembled and they had the final Eagle/623 inspection proof added.  .  The Nazis did not want complete weapons to be built at the Radom plant for fear of them being stolen and used by the Polish underground. Indeed many Polish workers at the plant were murdered by the Nazis for passing pistols and parts to the resistance.

The ViZ35 was absolutely one of the finest weapons made from this era and they are avidly collected and cherished not only for the design but also for the history that they symbolize.  Certainly one of my most favorite handguns for collecting.  These early non slotted Radoms are fairly scarce, likely most of them were used up in Russia and they are not commonly seen here.
