In 97% very crisp condition, with fire blued small parts that really pop, we have a Scarce German WWI Military Proofed Sauer Model 1913 Pistol with WWII Capture Papers and 1969 dated Washington D.C. gun registration papers too! This is certainly one of the more difficult to locate WWI pocket pistols, only 30,000 were military proofed and you just never see them in any kind of nice condition. Of course this is all matching with a mint bore as well. The military proof is on the right side of the frame directly under the crown n proofmark.
The Model 1913 Sauer Pistol was hands down the finest quality pocket pistol that the Germans used in WWI. It was extremely compact and very finely made and most importantly it was extremely reliable. These pistols were mostly issued to officers not involved directly in combat. Certainly an elegant pistol by any standards.
