In 97% very crisp condition, we have a very hard to locate vet brought back Nazi Occupation FN/ Browning High Power Pistol. This is one of the very first of the fixed sight variation, and would have been manufactured in early, 1943. This still has the magazine safety which means no magazine, no fire. The factory original magazine isWaA140 proofed. This pistol is all matching with a mint bore as well.
These Nazi occupation Pistols were issued extensively to the Waffen SS as they could not source guns directly from the Regular Army. There are many photographs of its use in action by these forces, especially on the Russian Front. Among the fighting men of many nations, it was considered to be the most prized handgun of the European Theater as it had a 13-shot magazine and ran like a Swiss watch, which is to say it did not jam.
This is certainly a top example of one of the most famous combat pistols of the last century. Finding a very early WaA140 pre letter block fixed sight Nazi High Power in such high condition is almost unheard of today.
