In 95% very sharp condition, we have a very early 1937 production Beretta Model 418 Pistol in 6.35mm also known as .25 auto. This is rigged out with an Italian Army style Holster. Pistols such as this would have been carried by High-ranking Italian Army officers during WWII, in fact it is know that these pistols were very popular with not only the Italian Officer Corps but also German Officers as well and there are examples that are Nazi 4UT proofmarked as well.
While today, we commonly deride and make snide remarks about Italy’s role in WWII, The Italian Army was an effective fighting force with a very proud officer corps. Finding a setup such as this is not easy and we see very few pistols that were carried by the Generals and their staff Officers.
