SOLD US WWII REMINGTON RAND 1911A1 PISTOL, EARLY PRODUCTION, 2nd SLIDE LOGO, DU LITE FINISH, MINT SHARP FULL RIG, DOCUMENTED!

In 97% condition, 100% factory original and correct, we have a top example of a fairly late production 2nd Slide Logo Variant Remington Rand 1911a1 Pistol that is fully rigged out to include a very scarce Boyt43 holster.  This pistol was manufactured in August, 1943 and  was one of the last produced with the very desirable dulite sandblasted blue finish, which on this gun is a very attractive deep blue gray color.  These early Remington Rands with this finish are highly sought after by collectors and this is a prime example that will make any collector happy. Getting an early Du-lite blue finished pistol this nice is a very hard thing to do, most of these guns went straight into the fight and were used very hard.

This pistol exactly as you see it fully rigged out with all 1943 dated accouterments was carried during the war and in the post war occupation by Jesse W. Callahan during the war we believe he was an officer with the Military Police and in the immediate post war occupation of Germany he was in charge of Public Security in Frankfurt and later in Wiesbaden working under the Department of State.  This is a top investment grade, very flashy setup that will not hang around for long.
