$7,950.00
1 in stock
In 98% mint crisp condition, we have an extremely rare (200) early strawed and rust blued 1937 S/42 code Mauser made P.08 Luger Pistol that was Nazi Navy Kriegsmarine Issued and marked on the front grip strap with an Ost See Fleet property number and as brought back with a 1937 Gebruder Klinge made Nazi Eagle/M kriegsmarine Luger Holster.
The Luger is completely matching except for the un-numbered s/42 replacement magazine. The bore is mint as well. This is an early production gun in the “r” block and it is in the known serial range for the approximately 200 Lugers that were sent to the Navy in 1937, making this the Rarest of the Nazi Navy Lugers. This is a completely orthodox textbook example.
This Luger was purchased directly from the Vet at the old Pikesville, MD Gunshow and has been in the same hands for over 20 years. The vet was an Army Air Corps Sgt who was a flight engineer on B-24 bombers in Italy. There is a letter from the vet relating the story of his acquisition of the pistol and a copy of an article about his war service.
As you might well imagine there are just a handful of chances to acquire a 1937 Kriegsmarine issued Luger; here is a real treasure for the serious collector.
Scotty’s Collector insight….We sold this gun 3 years ago and it is now back in the office to be sold to another collector. My pictures were so spot on that despite the white background we were using at the time we just thought the pictures could not be improved so we have listed this with the original 2021 photos I took.
