In stunning, mint new all matching condition, we present to you an all matching non-import marked U.S. surcharged 1915 Westinghouse Made M1891 Mosin Nagant Imperial Russian Service rifle. This is a textbook example of a Westinghouse made Mosin Nagant, and it has the Russian Cartouche “English Order” on the left side of the butt which you just never see on these rifles. It is Eagle Head proofed on the receiver and the wood also has the double Eagle Head acceptance Cartouches as well.
This rifle was part of the defaulted Russian contract that was purchased by the US government at the onset of WWI. These rifles were used by the US Army for training, but more importantly they were also issued to US troops during the Siberian Expedition in 1919. While we do see the Remington made rifles fairly often these Westinghouse made rifles are much scarce and one of the more unusual rifles fielded by the US in WWI. This is hands down a mint stunning example I have never seen a finer example of an American made Mosin Nagant Service Rifle.
