In totally mint sharp condition, we have an exceptional stunning example of the US Army WW2 sniper rifle, the M1903A4 Springfield rifle as made by Remington. This one has a September 1943 dated barrel and the bore is mint. The rifle appears to be in factory original condition and has not been rebuilt, however like most of these rifles it does bear a post ww2 Open Box Springfield Armory cartouche which indicates that it was inspected and re-proofed prior to being placed in war reserve storage. As the rifle is still in the Remington Factory original condition with mixed blue and parked parts, it retains its original WW2 configuration. The scope is a pristine Weaver M73B1, with crystal clear optics. Everything on this mint specimen is textbook correct. While not the most glamorous sniper rifle of WW2, these rifles were very dependable and accurate, and in fact they continued to serve in combat right into Vietnam. This proves the soundness of the rifle and the scope. You would be hard pressed to find a finer example for your collection.
