Description

In a very crisp 97% condition, we have a top example of a Commercial Colt 1911a1 Goverment Model .45auto Pistol.   Just a touch of wear on the front grip strap and at the snout and an excellent bore.  This pistol was manufactured in 1928 but sat around in the warhouse until August 21, 1929 when it was shipped to the J. A. Williams hardware store in Pittsburgh, PA as part of a one gun shipment.  The Colt letter is on the way.  If you like Gangster era big Colt pistols this is a must have gun.  Who knows what gangster or normal person carried it. It could have guarded bootleg beer or a steel mill.   A great gun from a very romantic period of American history from a great PA city.
