Description

In 99% mint stunning condition, we have a top example of a Post WW1 production WW2 Vet brought back Mauser Model 1910 Pistol.  This is fully rigged out as issued with a molded Hoffman type holster and the spare factory original Mauser Banner marked mag.   Very likely this was a Wiemar Era officer Private purchase or perhaps a Police issue rig.  The gun is in strikingly beautiful mint condition with all of the brilliant fire blue finish on the small parts, just a stunning example of how nice these pistol can look when they are in new condition.

An important point on these pistols is that for years based upon totally incorrect information in Pender’s Mauser Pocket pistols book these pistols were referred to as”Portuguese contract pistols”…..THIS IS 100% INCORRECT; NONE OF THESE PISTOLS EVER SAW LISBON.  This was an error based upon the circle triangle proof on the back of these pistols, which is also observed on the Portuguese Lugers but was totally unrelated to Portugal, in fact there is no evidence that any of these Model 1910’s were ever even shipped there. Almost certainly they were commercial German sales.  Not everything you read in the reference books is True………They were not written by the ALMIGHTY! Â
