Out of stock
IN 95% ORIGINAL VERY ROUGHLY MADE CONDITION, WE HAVE A VERY DECENT EXAMPLE OF AN EARLY PRODUCTION JULY 1943 SHIPPED ITHACA 1911A1 PISTOL. THIS PISTOL IS DESIRABLE AS IT HAS EARLY ITHACA FEATURES SUCH AS THE FLAMING BOMB PROOFS IN THE RECIEVER WELL AND ON THE BACK OF THE SLIDE. ALSO THERE IS THE SMALL FJA ACCEPTANCE STAMP. THIS IS ONE OF THE LAST PISTOLS THAT HAD THE EARLY DULITE FINISH AS WELL WHICH IS RARE ON AN ITHACA AND SELDOM SEEN. AS IS CHARECTERISTIC OF ITHACA PROUDCTION OF THE PERIOD, IT IS NOT OVERLY WELL MADE. THIS PISTOL IS 100% CORRECT AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY AS PER CLAWSON. THIS PISTOL WAS SHIPPED TO THE RARITAN ARSENAL AND FROM THERE OFF TO COMBAT ON EUROPEAN BATTLEGROUNDS. THIS IS A NICE PISTOL THAT HAS SEEN SOME USE BUT WAS WELL CARED FOR. THERE HAS BEEN ALOT OF INTEREST OF LATE IN THE ITHACA MADE GUNS. PEOPLE HAVE BECOME AWARE THAT THEY DID NOT MAKE NEARLY AS MANY AS COLT OR REM RAND DID. WHILE NOT NEARLY AS SCARCE AS A UNION SWITCH THEY ARE NOT PARTICULARLY COMMON. ONE MADE THIS EARLY IS BOUND TO BE OF GREAT INTEREST TO A LOT OF COLLECTORS.
