Description

IN MINT CONDITION, WE HAVE A 1944 DATED  BSA MADE NO4  RIFLE THAT WAS BUILT BY  HOLLAND AND HOLLAND INTO A  NO4 T SNIPER RIFLE WITH A 1944 DATED NO 32 MK II SCOPE. THE SCOPE OPTICS ARE SHARP.  THE RIFLE IS MATCHING AND IS NOT NUMBERED TO ANY SCOPE.  THIS WAS THE STANDARD SNIPER RIFLE OF THE BRITISH ARMY DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR.  THEY WERE CONSIDERED TO BE SO SUCESSFUL THAT THEY WERE RETAINED FOR MANY YEARS IN THE READY WAR RESERVE AND SOME WERE LATER GIVEN AN EXTENDED SERVICE LIFE AS 308 L42A1 SNIPER RIFLES.    THESE RIFLES STILL WILL SHOOT TO POINT OF AIM AND THEY WERE CONSIDERED BY A WIDE MARGIN TO BE THE BEST SNIPER RILFE OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR.  THEY SERVED IN EVERY THEATRE OF THE WAR AND THERE ARE MANY PICUTRES OF THEM IN COMBAT USE, EVEN BY THE GERMANS WHO REISSUED THEM WHEN CAPTURED.  WHILE USUALLY ISSUED WITH A LARGE A BULKY TRANSIT CHEST YOU SAVE ALOT OF MONEY AND SPACE AS THIS IS JUST THE RIFLE AND SCOPE.
