Description

In mint all matching condition, we have one of the most sought after of the late war production 98k”s, a Gustloff-Werke late production bcd4 coded rifle that was fitted with an adapted MG15 barrel.  These rifles were assembled in the final months production in 1945 and they are extremely rare.  The supply of barrels was so short that obsolete new MG15 barrels were modified for use in regular production.  They are very unique looking with the use of an adapter and sleeve to mount the barrel and the end of the barrel being grooved for the MG15 gas booster.  As you can well imagine these rifles are very distinctive looking as as they were only assembled sporadically in the final months production they are esoterically rare, with less than 20 known to exist in collections.  Not only are they rare they are extremely well known among collectors and are extremely desirable; only the most extensive and advanced collections will actually have an example. The rifle also comes with the very late 1944 production cey coded riveted sling as well, making this a very important find that we are very glad to offer.
