Description

In excellent 100% factory original condition, we have a top collector grade example of a 2nd Contract run, January, 1944 production Rock-Ola made M1 Carbine.  This is a very typical example of the 2nd contract run with the early flip sight and high wood and the fabricated trigger guard and front sight.  The cartouche is very sharp and the gun still even has the sling and oiler.  Rock-Ola, the legendary Juke Box maker is no doubt the most collected and sought after of all the contractors who made carbines during the war.  They are well known for the furniture grade walnut and cherry used for the stocks, so they have a very attractive look as well.    They are very much like Union Switch and Signal made 1911’s; its the carbine everyone wants to own!  This is a top example and a great find for us.
