In 97% mint sharp condition, all matching including the magazine, we have an extremely hard to locate early production (number 6932 ) Japanese Type 94 Pistol. This is an early production pistol dated 13.12 and would have been produced in December of 1938. These early Type 94 pistols are extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors; they are very well made and have the rounded slide which gives them a distinctive look. While many handgun aficionados have derided this pistol for its ungainly looks and very poor design which included an exposed sear it was certainly better than waving a samurai sword around. These pistols were widely issued to tank crewman and aircrew as they were much smaller than the Type 14 Nambu. Another point of perspective you should be aware of is that these pistols are much rarer than the Type 14, fewer were made, especially early production pistols such as this one. If you collect Type 94 pistols this is one that you certainly will have to have in your collection, you buy them when you see them, it is as simple as that.
