In 96% condition, we have prime,  example of the Colt Model 1917 US Service Revolver in .45acp With a Rare Shipping history to the Commanding Officer at Fort Bliss Texas in November of 1918 per the Colt Factory letter.  This was part of a 255 gun shipment likely intended for the 2nd Cavalry who were forming up there at the time.   This is 100% factory original, all matching with a mint bore. The M-1917 revolver was widely issued in both World Wars and was used by other federal agencies such as the Post office and the Treasury department for many years.  This is a US Army WW1 classic, rarely ever seen with this unusual provenance, a must for Texans and Calvary collectors.
