In 98% mint crisp condition, we have an outstanding example of probably the rarest Cz27 variant, a 1944 dated Czech Commercial Proofed Pistol. This is an extremely attractive pistol with a triple tone finish with the slide being a beautiful reddish coppery hue. This is the only example of a 1944 dated Czech proofed pistol that we have seen, and I can tell you I have sold many more of Cz27’s with the silencer belled barrel which is considered to be the real rarity with these pistols. This example is all matching with a mint bore.
I am not sure why there would have been commercially proofed pistol made at this time, the earlier commercially proofed pistols were also Nazi Police Eagle/K marked as well. Perhaps this was intended for either the German or the Czech Police or meant to be privately sold to Nazi officials. If you are serious Czech pistol or Axis Pistol collector this wonderful looking pistol will certainly be an irresistible temptation to acquire for your holdings.
