In Memoriam Ed Rothgeb

I would like to note the passing of my mentor and noted collector Ed Rothgeb of Virginia.  Ed had been active in this hobby since the 1950’s and was a well known authority and highly regarded collector when I first met him in the late 1980’s.  For nearly 30 years Ed shared his vast  knowledge and insight with me which is reflected in the successful and rapidly growing business Pre98 has become.  He was a true connoisseur of German holsters and the term “screamer holster” that  I often use to describe a flat mint holster came from him.  I wish him happy hunting at the big gun show in the sky.  His contributions to this field live on through this firm.
