Pre98’s Outlook over the next 4 years for Collectable Firearms

We have been asked to comment on our outlook for the market and demand for Collectable Firearms in relation to the changing political climate and what affect this will have on our hobby and our Firm, Pre98.  This is an oft told story, when  gun control panics occur, people tend to overbuy on modern guns and stockpile ammo.  A few months after things calm down they are seen sheepishly dragging their fear induced purchases into gun shows and selling them for a loss.  The expectation was that Hillary was good for about a half a dozen of these episodes and that made the modern gun trade drool with glee!  Modern gun makers have been running at a wartime production frenzy and dealers were stocking up for Armageddon.

What happened? In the space of one election night, the threat of impeding gun restrictions crumbled with the blue wall.  The stark reality of the situation is that there is a massive stockpile of modern guns and ammo and no impeding massive panic to soak it all up.  The phycology changes…..the artificial panic induced drive to purchase something that may be banned gives way to the reality of what Firearms are truly rare,treasured, valuable and can capture our imagination; the weapons that are tangible relics of the glorious American Century of Military and Democratic Supremacy.  We have seen this before, and these next four years are going to see a huge move into Collectable Firearms and a rising tide that will raise demand and value in our collections and bring even more prestige to our noble hobby.  We very much look forward to our future collaborations with all our great clients who help keep our American Heritage as a living memory.  Thank you America!
