SOLD 1939 42 CODE MAUSER K98k RIFLE……LUFTWAFFE ISSUE…..WALNUT STOCK…….STILL WITH ORIGINAL 39 DATED SLING!!!

In very good plus combat used condition, completely matching and un-messed with, we have a top example of a 1939 dated Luftwaffe Eagle L marked 42 code  Mauser Oberndorf made K98k German Service Rifle.  This rifle is completely factory original and is all matching down to the screws.  The bore is mint and the stock cartouches are all exceptionally clear.  This is still with the original 1939 dated sling as well.  This is a top example of a Mauser made early wartime production 98k with all the early features such as no sight hood and the flat butt plate and milled bands.  This is the poster boy of a 98k rifle in the classic configuration. Early dated 98k rifles in this pristine condition are rarer than double matched mag Lugers.  This rifle has that look that gives it a lot of allure to collectors, it certainly has been there and done it, and it speaks to you.
