Description

In 96% factory original condition, we have a scarce and extremely desirable blued Colt 1911a1 U.S. Army Service Pistol.  This pistol was shipped to Springfield Armory from Colts on April 30, 1941. Only about 1/3rd of 1941 production was blued and they were the last of the blued 1911a1 military pistols, as the finish was changed to the more durable parkerization.  This pistol is totally factory correct original, the slide is matching numbered to the frame and it has the correct small “G” marked barrel, with an excellent bore.  The grips which are the early hollow back Coltwood are in great shape.  As you are aware, this is not an easy gun to locate, especially in this condition.
