Description

This is one of the holy grails of 98k rifle collecting, I have seen one real one in 30 years.  In 1937 Mauser Borsigwalde made up some experimental red fiberglass type resin stocks at the time they were trying to figure out what to use instead of Walnut which was not available in sufficient quantities for production. They ultimately settled on laminated beechwood, so this never went into regular production.  This is the real deal, if it was 100% original and matching you could not touch it for less than 15k and 20k is probably the true market price.  This one is made up from a vet brought back duffle cut stock and the correct 1937 serial range Mauser Borsigwalde 98k. They probably came back this way.  Its real, it could use some additional work but they are just never seen offered for sale or sold.
