Description

In 98%+ mint crisp condition, we have a very nice and interesting Early 1943 production Colt 1911a1 US Army Service pistol.  This was shipped from Colts to Springfield Armory in February of 1943.  There are some notable features on this pistol as there are some parts such as the barrel that was a commercial Colt barrel with the S mark that was P proofed and used in production of this period along with a Colt Commercial magazine.   Of course the slide is matching serial numbered to the pistol and every part is factory original.  As you would expect, the bore is mint as well, indeed this pistol appears likely to just have been stored.

The 1943 numbered slide Colt 1911a1 is a bread and butter gun for us, they are very popular with collectors who want a typical example of a WW2 Colt.  This is an exceptionally fine example and it is at a good price as well.  Apparently this pistol was sold on GunsAmerica  for $4850.00 some time back, now you can save a thousand and buy it from us. https://www.gunsamerica.com/997198747/Original-1943-Colt-M1911A1-w-C-M-transfer-parts.htm
