In 97% very crisp condition, we have a wonderful example of an early war 1942 production ac 42 Coded Walther P.38 Pistol. This is all matching with a mint bore, with the correct factory original no v marked e/359 proofed mag. The numbering of mags was discontinued at the end of the ac 42 “b” block so this mag is correctly not numbered as the pistol is from the later “e” block. This is a very attractive piece with a beautiful military finish, totally factory original with a mint bore as well.
The 1942 production P.38’s made by Walther are extremely nice and a cut above in visual appeal over the later production guns from 1943-45. The external finish is just more refined. If you are looking for a nice example of an original vet brought back war Trophy P.38 this is a very choice example for both the beginning and more advanced collector.
