In mint apparently unissued condition, we have an extremely rare and seldom encountered very early production Savage Model 720 Riot Shotgun. This is a very early production gun with the game scene still on the blued receiver, in fact it may be one of the first guns modified. A critical point to the authenticity of this shotgun is the ∗∗∗ marking on the barrel, indicating that this is a cylinder choke; training guns used modified chokes which were denoted by 4 asterisks. This is perhaps the most difficult to locate US WW2 Martial shotgun, they are just never found.
