SOLD!!! EARLY US WWII M1917A1 KELLY HELMET, THE “WAKE ISLAND” HELMET, FINE EXAMPLE!

In excellent condition with the original liner we have a US early WWII issued M1917a1 Kelly Helmet. This was the upgrade of the WW1 US helmet and had a much improved liner.  This is a new made helmet by Ford Radiator and not a rebuilt WW1 Helmet.  This was the helmet in service at the outbreak of WW2 and was used by the Marines on Wake Island and in all the early 1942 campaigns in the Pacific and to some extent in the European Theater as well.  Not an easy helmet to find in this condition and most were used up in the early fighting.
