This is certainly the most significant Artillery Luger that we have had in the office. In 94% condition, we have an extremely rare Erfurt Arsenal made Long P.08 Luger commonly referred to by collectors as the the Artillery Luger. This rig is completely matching, to include everything; the gun, the mag and the shoulder stock. It is 100% exactly as it left the Erfurt Imperial Arsenal. This is like pulling a royal flush in poker, they just do not exist like this. The bore is in excellent condition. The gun has clearly seen combat but has been well taken care of for over 100 years, and it is a historically significant artifact of the opening days of World War One. the holster is 1915 dated, the very rare cleaning rod is double imperial inspected and the stock is Erfurt proofed as well.
1914 was the only year that Erfurt ever made the Long Artillery style Luger and they are quite scarce top find a complete matching example such as this is just unheard of. This pistol tell a story that will be very pleasing to the eyes of any serious collector.
