Description

This is probably the finest example we have observed of a duv coded 1943 Berlin Lubecker manufactued  G.41 Semi-automatic Service Rifle.  This is the Sniper version with the scope rail on the rear sight.    The rifle is in exceptional all matching condition with a mint bore and extremely sharp cartouches.  It is a textbook example.  The blue is exceptionally well preserved and this rifle appears to have not much if any combat.  The G.41 (W) was the first successful German Semi-auto Military rifle but it was not a total one.  The rifle is very heavy and somewhat unbalanced and overly complicated.  Never the less they were used effectively and formed the basis for the hugely successful G/K.43 series of Rifles. finding an example this nice and more importantly all matching is not an easy thing to do.  This top example literally just came out of the woodwork and was brought back with the K.43 rifle we have recently listed.  Obtained directly from the vets family in this pristene carefully stored condition.
