In excellent condition, we have a top example of the US Army WWII Sniper Rifle, the M1903A4 Springfield Rifle as made by Remington. This one has a 12-1943 dated barrel and the bore is mint. The rifle is in factory original condition and has not been rebuilt or re-worked and only has the original wartime inspection cartouches. The scope is an early M73B1, with crystal clear optics. Everything on this mint specimen is textbook correct. This rifle still has the scope cover as well. It’s everything you would want in a US WWII sniper rifle.
While not the most glamorous sniper rifle of WWII, these rifles were very dependable and accurate, and in fact they continued to serve in combat right into Vietnam. This proves the soundness of the rifle and the scope. You would be hard pressed to find a finer example for your collection.
