In a stunning 99% mint crisp beautiful condition, we have a prime example of an early production Tokyo Army Arsenal made Nambu Type 14 pistol. This is an early production gun that is dated 5.3 which translates to March, 1930 production. This is commonly referred to by collectors as the “Small Trigger Guard Nambu Pistol“. The pistol is totally matching with the exception of the period correct mag which is from a few hundred guns later. I can tell you from experience, that finding an early production Nambu still with a matching mag is very difficult and problematic; they rarely ever match. The bore is mint. This is absolutely one of the finest examples of an early production Type 14 that we have seen and the look of this gun is quite visually stunning. If you are looking for one really outstanding example of the highest expression of Japanese pistol design you should take note of this example.
