This is a really interesting vet brought back rig, where both the German who carried it and the G.I that brought it back are named! In 99% mint crisp condition , We have a fantastic example of an all blue finish “b” block production Mauser made byf44 coded P.38 Pistol that is fully rigged out with a jwa44 soft shell holster and a spare mag. The bore is mint and both mags are the correctly WaA135 marked. This is an actual vet brought back pistol, like everything we sell, and it is a totally matching original and correct and it is a textbook example of Mauser’s later 1944 production.
The Best part about this pistol is that it is named to a German Lt. and then to a Sgt E.F. Naylor of the 48th Engineers Battalion. While it is not unusual to see a US. GI attribution in a holster, finding a German name inscribed is not at all common occurrence and is highly notable. Doing research on this snippet of information will lead to much more insight into the this pistol and the story it can tell. This really adds another dimension to the desirability to this pistol.
