Description

Here we have a Finnish capture and SA marked Soviet Red Army 1941 dated Tula made SVT-40 Tokarev semi-auto rifle.  These rifles were captured by Finland from the Russians during the Winter War and the Continuation war and would have been immediately reissued to the Finnish Army.  This is a very typical example, it is mismatched as they all our and and is a little combat used. The bore is strong but a touch dark.  The good thing about this set up is that it does come with a sling and the fairly hard to find bayonet.  This is not a rifle that you will ever find in mint condition, they were very highly sought after for the light quick firepower they could provide and they were all used hard, they all went into the field.  They were used by all sides, there are numerous photographs of them being carried by the Germans and they were cherished by the Soviets and the Finns.  Although they were a bit on the frail side for the full power 7.62z54R cartridge they were certainly a huge improvement on the Mosin Nagant Rifle.
