This is one of 2 know surviving examples of KKW rifles that were issued to the students of the elite Hitler Youth Leadership School that was Located in Postdam,Berlin. It is pictured on pages 284 & 349 of The Training Rifles of Third Reich Germany by Robert Simpson.
The Gustloff-Werk KKW Rifle is marked by branding “Führerschule 1” into the stock. It is matching and 100% original. The school was opened in 1933 and was to train the leadership of the Hitlerjugend. As you might well imagine, a rifle that was issued in the Berlin Suburbs even surviving the war and making its way back to the States must have been the result of some fortuitous events that push the limits of ones imagination. If you collect Third Reich Political weapons this is a very important piece to acquire.
