Description

In 98% VERY CRISP condition, all matching  and with an excellent bore and still in the original .455 Webley caliber, we have a 1915 dated British Army Issued Webley and Scott Mark V  Service RevolverThe Webley Mark V .455 Service Revolver was adopted for Army Service in late 1913 with an initial order of 20,000.  This was the officially adopted latest version of the Webley Revolver at the outbreak of War in August of 1914

This revolver carries the original British Military proofs, and was taken into service early in the war in 1915.  The Mark V variant was not in production for long, only 2 years so they are not common at all.  This example  is all matching with a mint bore as well.

These revolvers are very hard to find still in the original .455 Webley caliber as most had the cylinders shaved down for 45 acp when they were brought into this country which kills the value.   This is the most Iconic handgun the British ever made and its held in great awe and affection by all!   This is all you could want in a WWI Webley.
