Description

In 95%% very sharp condition, we have a Matching Mauser 1896 Large Ring Broomhandle Pistol.  The bore is very decent and the pistol is all matching. The Pistol was manufactured sometime in 1900 and very likely could have been a British private officer purchase for the Boer War.

You may recall that Churchill purchased one for this affair.  This is a very brilliant looking piece with  a lot of fire-blue still intact.  back at the turn of the 20th century, this was the most powerful and advanced handgun of it’s time; it was expensive and only a person of substantial means could ever hope to wield one of these weapons.  Today, over a 100 years later one can say that this piece has withstood the test of time and desirability.
