SOLD ANTIQUE WEBLEY MARK I REVOLVER .455 CALIBER… NEW SOUTH WALES GOVT MARKED…GALLIPOLI SPECIAL
$1,850.00
Out of stock
In Antique excellent condition we have a very rare un-modified Webley Mark I revolver. This revolver is all matching, has a mint bore and is in the original .455 caliber. It is also extremely rare for two other reasons, the first being that it has never been upgraded in Service to the Mark I * configuration. Secondly, It is marked to the Government of New South Wales and probably also to the 6th Light Horse, so there is a very strong likelihood that this weapon saw action at Gallipoli.
This is a very nice British service weapon that may well have seen use in the Boer War, WW1 and more than likely WW2 as well. This is a top collectible British Service revolver. The Webley Mark I was manufactured from 1887-1895 when it was superseded by the Mark II which was the first of a long line of improved new models that lasted until 1948. This pistol is a Pre98 Antique and does not require a C&R to ship it.
